How do I use Qkeep?
Qkeep is a QTC wallet for Quantus mainnet built by the lux8.net team. The app supports English and Simplified Chinese. Use is free; sending pays network fees.
How do I create a Qkeep wallet?
Qkeep creation is a browser process that generates a 24-word recovery phrase. Select Create wallet, write 24 English BIP39 words in order, complete the backup check and set a password of at least 12 characters. Never translate or share the words: anyone with the phrase can control its accounts.
How do I restore a Qkeep wallet from a recovery phrase?
Qkeep recovery is local account derivation from a seed. Select Import wallet and enter the same 24-word phrase and exact optional BIP39 passphrase. Match the scheme, derivation and index, then confirm the full expected address. Different settings can produce an empty account.
Do Qkeep keys leave my device?
Self-custody is local control of keys. Qkeep generates new keys in the browser and never sends private keys or recovery phrases anywhere. Keys stay encrypted on the device. Device unlock uses a WebAuthn passkey enrolled separately per website address; Face ID, Touch ID or a device PIN can unlock the wallet. Keep your backups.
What happens if I lose my Qkeep password?
A Qkeep password is a local encryption password that the lux8.net team cannot recover. Restore seed accounts in another browser profile with the 24-word phrase and any exact BIP39 passphrase. A phrase cannot restore imported private keys: back up each original key separately. Without backups, losing local access can permanently lose access to funds.
Why does my Qkeep look empty on another website address?
Website-address storage is local storage per origin. wallet.qkeep.app, wallet.qtcscan.com and qtcwallet.lux8.net keep independent encrypted wallets. An empty wallet on the other website does not mean funds moved or disappeared. Open the original website or restore each account from its own backup.
Does Qkeep work offline?
A progressive web app (PWA) is a website installed without a browser extension. After Qkeep caches its files, unlock offline to display the receiving address and QR code. Balances, transfer history and sending require a connection. Check the recipient and fees before sending: transfers cannot be reversed.
Which signature scheme does Qkeep use?
ML-DSA is a post-quantum digital signature family. Qkeep uses ML-DSA-65 for new standard accounts and supports legacy ML-DSA-87 imports. The same phrase can yield different addresses under different schemes. Encrypted Accounts use a separate browser-generated private proof, not ordinary signing. The wallet shows unspent deposits using nullifiers. Private sending supports up to seven deposits per transfer; a funded mainnet withdrawal remains a separate acceptance test.
Finding mining deposits in Encrypted Accounts
Restore opens your ordinary wallet first, then checks for other Encrypted Accounts in the background. The search checks HD account numbers until twenty consecutive addresses have no deposits, and also checks the older CLI master-seed address (no derivation) once. A spent account still counts as used. An empty result describes only what was searched, not every possible address under a phrase.
- On your own device, open the account control at the top left, then Find Encrypted Accounts. Choose the saved seed and start the search. Keep “Also check the older CLI address (no derivation / master seed)” checked.
- Compare any found address with the exact payout address in your miner or pool settings. A matching address matters more than the account name. Review and explicitly confirm before adding an account.
- If the initial search finds nothing, choose Try another account range. For an initial 0–19 search, try 20–99 next; you can then enter a higher range such as 100–199. The manual range can exclude the master address by unchecking it. No finite range can rule out every higher account number.
Only verified unspent deposits contribute to a search subtotal; the on-chain encrypted address balance can include already-claimed deposits. Failed or cancelled checks are incomplete, not zero. Keep your recovery phrase, optional passphrase and private keys private. Never send them to support or another person; run these checks locally on your own device.
How do I update a Qkeep app that is stuck on an old version?
If the update button does nothing, fully close Qkeep from the phone app switcher and reopen it while online. Close any other wallet tabs or windows at the same website address too: releasing the last client lets a waiting worker take over on the next launch. Finish or cancel unlock, proof generation and unsaved entries first; wait for any active submission request to finish. Do not clear website data, delete the app or remove the wallet. Closing does not cancel a submitted transfer. Unlock on the same website address to resume tracking; do not resend an unconfirmed transfer. Check the footer version after reopening.
Transfer age is not proof of failure. Ordinary transfer tracking checks a 64-block window; private transfer tracking checks 4,096 blocks. If the outcome remains unknown or the backend is unavailable, the wallet retains the hash and keeps resending blocked. In current builds, after a 15-second update wait, Lock and update can restart with verified saved tracking; unlock afterward to continue checking. It does not mark a transfer failed or send it again.
Why is another send paused, and how can I recover unresolved transfer tracking?
Qkeep normally tracks one active transfer per account. A node nonce alone does not confirm delivery or reserve the amount and fee of a queued payment. Choose Send to open the unresolved transfer, then Check status again. You can copy its hash and check the explorer or ask the recipient. If you have independently checked the outcome and choose to stop automatic tracking, Archive tracking requires an explicit acknowledgement. The public record remains in Settings under Archived transfer tracking. Archiving does not cancel a transaction or prove success or failure: it may still complete, and sending the same payment again could pay twice. A storage failure leaves active tracking in place.
